As the national industry body for private capital in Australia, we
believe it is critically important that governments implement policies
to encourage deeper investment into innovative and high-growth
potential Australian businesses to support their domestic and
international expansion ambitions.
In the lead-up to every federal election, the Australian Investment Council
publishes a policy priorities statement to support the work of the new
incoming government in identifying the most important reforms to support
the growth of private capital investment across all sectors of the national
economy.

We actively participate in discussions with government ministers and their
agencies, as well as regulators, on a wide range of issues impacting the
growth of private capital investment within our economy. Short and
medium-term priorities in key policy areas of: foreign investment,
superannuation, taxation, modernising Australia's investment regimes,
innovation, and attracting global talent, inform our work program with
government on a day-to-day basis.
